The Dukes in Lancaster will mark 400 years to the week of the Pendle Witch trials and executions in Lancaster with two special events next weekend.
On Saturday, August 18, the venue’s cinema will screen The Pendle Witch Child, a documentary presented by Simon Armitage telling the extraordinary story of the UK’s biggest witch trial and the key role played in it by nine-year-old Jennet Device.
It will be followed by a discussion organised by Green Close Studios of Melling as part of the Lancashire Witches 400 project.
