The gripping sequel to the award-winning War Horse—which has now enjoyed cinema as well as international stage success—visits the Grand Theatre in Blackpool next week.

Michael Morpurgo’s compelling Farm Boy comes to the venue on Sunday and Monday.

Will Young stars in Cabaret at The Lowry in Salford next week.

Rufus Norris’s much anticipated re-imagining of his double Olivier-award winning production stars Young in his musical theatre debut as the enigmatic Emcee, while Michelle Ryan will play Sally Bowles.

Following a hit run at the Opera House in Manchester last September, Sister Act is returning to the venue from next Tuesday for two weeks only.

The musical theatre version of the hit movie stars Coronation Street’s Denise Black as Mother Superior, fellow former Corrie and Brookside favourite Michael Starke as Monsignor O’Hara and new star Cynthia Erivo as nun on the run Deloris Van Cartier.

The timeless tale of love and sacrifice Madam Butterfly will be brought alive on the Palace Theatre stage in Manchester by Northern Ballet next week.

It’s based on the original Belasco play that inspired the great opera and premiered at Leeds Grand Theatre 10 years ago.

The Manchester Mid-day Concerts Society programme starts again next Thursday.

The programme features talented young pianists, Mishka Rushdie Momen (Nov 14), Alexander Soares (Jan 23) and debutant Jessica Zhu (Dec 12).
