Stickleback Theatre Company and Studio Salford present Jordan by Anna Reynolds with Moira Buffini at the King’s Arms in Salford from Monday to Saturday.

A modern day Rumpelstiltskin fairy tale, it tells of a mother driven to the ultimate act to avoid having her child taken away from her.

Running at the same time is Forwards and Backwards from Manchester-based theatre company Square Peg.

After a chance encounter two lives are changed forever in a story of fate, sacrifice and love.

A one-act performance of Shakespeare’s classic tragedy Macbeth starts a regional tour this week.

Troop, a new regional physical theatre company, is touring its take on the Scottish play to audiences across the north west. It’s a fast-paced production with martial arts and live music.

A hundred young male and female dancers (aged eight to 18) are in demand for roles in English Youth Ballet’s production of Swan Lake, coming to Preston Charter Theatre next April.

On Monday November 19, young male and female dancers can audition for roles in the ballet favourite – Swan Lake.

Opera singer Louise Winter, who trained at Chetham’s and RNCM in Manchester, appears with Music Theatre Wales in the city next week with two short operas following the success of their world premières at the Edinburgh International Festival.
