The only comedian who would consider setting up a club in a Palestinian refugee camp tells his story at The Dukes in Lancaster next Wednesday. Mark Thomas is a familiar face at the venue but returns as an actor in Showtime From The Frontline.

Yasmina Reza’s award-winning comedy Art—at the Lowry in Salford—stars Nigel Havers, Denis Lawson and Stephen Tompkinson as Serge, Marc and Ivan.

Actor, comedian, novelist and playwright Nigel Planer is behind a brand-new adaptation of Marivaux’s classic French farce The Game of Love and Chance at The Lowry in Salford from next Thursday to Saturday, including a Saturday matinée.

Rehearsals have begun for a theatrical tribute to one of France’s most successful singers of all time, Édith Piaf. Olivier-nominated actress Elizabeth Mansfield and Theatre by the Lake favourite Patrick Bridgman join forces in Hymn to Love—Homage to Piaf, the venue’s first show to open the spring season.
