One of Europe’s leading learning disability theatre companies takes on parenthood when it performs at Lancaster’s Dukes theatre next Wednesday. Mind The Gap explores the truths and myths about learning disability and parenthood with its new drama Mia: Daughter Of Fortune.

There’s a world première of a new comedy by former Bolton Octagon artistic director Lawrence Till, adapted from the stories of Bill Naughton, at the theatre from next week. Celebrating Bolton and the work of Bill Naughton, The Big Corner follows Bill and Alf, two young Bolton lads growing up together hungry for adventure, discovering the mystery and the delights of girls.

Here I Belong, telling the life story of an elderly villager, comes to Theatre by the Lake in Keswick from next Thursday to Saturday.

Edward Lear Stuff & Nonsense in Preston Guild Hall’s Lancaster Suite on Wednesday afternoon is the latest matinée performance from the Don’t Go Into The Cellar theatre company.
