Set sail for Treasure Island, somewhere in Morecambe Bay, when the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster launches its Christmas children’s show next Friday.

The venue is even staging it all in The Round for the first time so children and families will be even closer to the festive fun through to January 5.

There’s another performance by North West dance ensemble 12 Degrees North at Lancaster University’s Nuffield Theatre next Thursday.

There’s a lot to like in the three dances by 12 regional dance graduates.

Literature lovers can take a raucous song and dance journey across the sweeping moors of Brontë country at the Brewery in Kendal next Wednesday.

The Full Brontë, by Scary Little Girls Theatre Company, is a cabaret celebration of the life and works of Charlotte, Emily and Charlotte.

The Rise and Fall of Little Voice—Jim Cartwright’s celebrated play—is at the Grand in Blackpool next week with a cast including Beverley Callard and Ray Quinn.

The show runs from Monday to Saturday.

London—a double bill of plays by award-winning playwright Simon Stephens—comes to The Studio at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre from Tuesday to Saturday.

It features two heart-rending stories of family and the choices they make for the things they love.

Manchester Opera House’s second show in its debut season of Theatre Royal Brighton Productions is Joe Penhall's multi awarding-winning play Blue/Orange starring Robert Bathurst (Cold Feet, Downton Abbey) in the role of Robert.

It runs from Thursday to Saturday.
