OCD play to be staged in Coventry

A new play by Vanessa Oakes, Mademoiselle F, is to be performed at the Shop Front Theatre, Coventry in June 2021.

Mademoiselle F tells the imagined story of the first person to be recorded as having OCD, her continuing attempt to come to terms with her condition and her daily struggles with her treatments. The play explores the imaginary encounters between a 19th century French woman and a 21st century Canadian polar bear.

The cast includes Miriam Edwards who takes the title role and Tyrone Huggins who plays the polar bear. Mark Evans directs, Oakes is also the designer and lighting designer is Dave Muir.

Mademoiselle F is suitable for ages 12 and over. It will be performed to socially distanced audiences of 25 people at each performance at the Shop Front Theatre from Wednesday 9 until Saturday 12 June.
