Representing “the full spectrum of love”: Love Matters

Off the back of a live-streamed panto, Leamington Spa-based Heartbreak Productions is diving back into virtual events with an online alternative to Valentine’s Day.

Love Matters is an evening of original writing, talking heads interviews, art, poetry and music “covering experiences of love, loss, grief, giddiness, pain and passion”.

The evening is designed for those self-isolating, with no significant other, or living alone over the Valentine’s weekend.

Pre-recorded artistic contributions will be streamed over Zoom with Heartbreak’s executive director Maddy Kerr and Emma Hodgkinson, who co-wrote the panto Tinsel in my Pants, compèring live on the evening.

Kerr said, “we’re delighted to have had such a variety of submissions from so many talented people. The stories and themes are diverse and eclectic and truly represent the full spectrum of love. It’s a celebration we’re very much looking forward to sharing.”

Love Matters will stream on Saturday 13 February at 6:30 and 9PM. Tickets cost £10 and are available at the Heartbreak Productions’ web site.
