Coventry’s Belgrade is holding open auditions at the theatre on Sunday 8 September for children to win a part in the chorus of this year’s panto, Jack and the Beanstalk.

The auditions will be led by Iain Lauchlan who will be treading the boards as Dame Trott.

He said, “I’m really looking forward to auditioning the new batch of youngsters who might be joining me on stage.”

Young people from all backgrounds are welcome even if they do not have any acting or dancing experience.

Children aged between 9 and 16 may audition and are required to register their attendance before arriving at the theatre.

Registration forms can be downloaded at www.beglrade.co.uk or can be collected from the box office.

Successful candidates must commit to rehearsals on weekday evenings and some Saturdays from 9 November.

Jack and the Beanstalk runs at the Belgrade from 27 November until 5 January.
