Ahead of its programme of music for Christmas, the Howard Assembly Room at Opera North has announced events for 2023, bringing sounds from around the world, folk traditions from the UK, film screenings and a live score, chamber music, workshops and more to its central Leeds stage.
Highlights include: Portishead’s Adrian Utley and Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory lead a 9-piece band in a live score to Paul Wright’s film Arcadia (March 3), Irish singer-songwriter Lisa O’Neill (March 16), Hack-Poets Guild (March 17), ancient music, dance and prayer from Tashi Lhunpo Monks of Tibet (June 3) and saxophonist Colin Stetson May 2.
