Be Brave and Leave For The Unknown

A new play about the nature of bravery, both epic and domestic, large and small, is to tour the north east.

RedCape Theatre makes shows inspired by true stories of ordinary people in extraordinary situations and its latest show, Be Brave and Leave For The Unknown, explores the concept of bravery through the very personal story of a couple and the sudden, unexpected course their lives take when tragedy strikes their family.

With a combination of physical theatre, new writing and soundscape, the play asks what is required of us when our courage is tested, when just taking the next step feels like the hardest thing to do.

Be Brave and Leave for the Unknown is co-directed by Cassie Friend and Rebecca Loukes (RedCape Artistic Directors) and is written by Catherine Dyson. The tour is commissioned by REACH, a project bringing new theatre to the North East, managed by ARC Stockton and Dep Arts and funded by Arts Council England.
