The NIght of the Iguana

Clive Owen will return to the West End for the first time in 18 years to play Reverend T Lawrence Shannon in Tennessee Williams's The Night of the Iguana, with Lia Williams as Hannah, Anna Gunn as Maxine Faulk and Julian Glover as Nonno. The production will open on 16 July 2019 at the Noël Coward Theatre for a 12-week season.

In the strange limbo of 1940, on a delapidated hotel veranda perched high in a rainforest above the west coast of Mexico, a group of lost souls collide: a defrocked priest turned tourist guide, the grieving widow who runs the hotel, a family of jubilant Nazis and an itinerant portrait artist with her 97-year-old poet grandfather.

Further casting has yet to be announced. James MacDonald will direct, the designer is Rae Smith and it will be produced by David Richenthal, Fiery Angel, Gavin Kalin and David M Milch.
