Birmingham Royal Ballet and Kauma Arts are to hold a free panel discussion and question-and-answer session as part of Birmingham International Dance Festival's industry professionals programme.

Speakers including Birmingham Royal Ballet director Carlos Acosta, dancer and choreographer Sonia Sabri and BIDF participation producer Jamaal O’Driscoll will discuss diversity in the industry with the aim of bringing about positive change.

The event is part of a series of discussions with individual artists and organisations from the dance sector in the West Midlands which will lead to a commitment to build a three-, five- and 10-year strategy for the region.

We Are West Midlands: working towards an equitable dance future will be held on Zoom on Monday 7 June from 1 until 3PM.
