Lichfield Garrick’s 2015 panto Jack and the Beanstalk broke box-office records, with more than 27,000 people seeing it during its four-and-a-half-week run.

The panto raised more than £6,000 for the We Love Lichfield charity—one of the biggest organisational donations in the fund’s history.

Garrick executive director Karen Foster said, “we’re delighted that the £6,063 will enable We Love Lichfield to reach many community groups and benefit a wide range of good local causes.”

This was the second year the Garrick and We Love Lichfield worked together. In 2014 they raised over £3,000 from Cinderella.

In 2016 the theatre will produce Sleeping Beauty—The Pantomime of Dreams, it has been announced.
