How do you put on a production of The Railway Children with only one child? That is what Crowd of Two Theatre Company will aim to do at Buxton Fringe.

The company’s adaptation of Edith Nesbit’s classic “condenses the themes, situations, characters and conflicts while retaining the magic and charm of the original”.

A middle-class family has to readjust to a poor life in the country. Roberta—the only railway child on stage—has to fend for herself while her mother sells stories to live.

The Railway Children will be staged at the Hydro Bar, 75 Spring Gardens, Buxton on Saturday and Sunday (19 and 20 July) at 7:30PM.
