Charming: John Partridge

Actor, dancer, singer and television presenter John Partridge will play Prince Charming in Cinderella at Northampton Royal and Derngate at Christmas 2015.

Partridge made his professional debut in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, performing various roles on a UK tour, in the West End, in Germany and in the official film of the show.

He subsequently appeared in Taboo, Miss Saigon and Starlight Express. In 2013 he played Don in A Chorus Line at the London Palladium.

Playing Dandini will be Sid Sloane. He has been a presenter on CBeebies for 11 years and still regularly appears on the show Let’s Play. He has also toured the UK with his one-man production Sid’s Show.

Impressionist Danny Posthill will be Buttons while Australian Alison Jiear will play the Fairy Godmother. Both appeared on the 2015 television series Britain’s Got Talent.

John Partridge said, “I absolutely love pantomime and I can’t wait to get started in rehearsals. The cast we’ve assembled are brilliant and it’s going to be a show that Northampton won’t want to miss.”

Cinderella runs at Royal and Derngate from Friday 11 December until Sunday 3 January 2016.
