Comedian, TV presenter and all-round entertainer Joe Pasquale has been signed up for Northampton Royal and Derngate’s next panto.
Pasquale, whose career has spanned more than 20 years, will play Smee in Peter Pan.
He has toured in major theatrical productions including Mel Brooks’s The Producers, been crowned King of the Jungle in I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, appeared in five Royal Variety Performances and even learned to skate for ITV’s Dancing on Ice.
Michael Harrison, managing director of Qdos Entertainment’s pantomime division which is producing Peter Pan, says, “We’re thrilled that Joe Pasquale, who has smashed pantomime box-office records wherever he’s performed, will be leading the cast of Royal and Derngate’s panto.
“It will be without a doubt one of the most impressive pantomimes ever staged in Northampton.”
Peter Pan will run at Royal and Derngate from Friday 5 December until Sunday 4 January 2015.
