New Brighton’s Floral Pavilion Theatre is to postpone this year’s production of Beauty and the Beast to December 2021.
The rescheduled dates are December 4 to January 2. Existing bookings and reservations will be automatically transferred and all customers will be contacted.
David Mackenzie, commercial manager at the theatre, said, “it’s been a difficult decision to make, but the continued uncertainty around live performance and our focus on the safety of customers, staff and cast has left us with no choice. We’re grateful for all the support we’ve received from our customers."
Melanie Walters, the Welsh actress best known for playing Gwen West in the BBC sitcom Gavin & Stacey, and Sean Jones (Mickey in Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers) star in the 2021 production.
