Performer Peggy Shaw presents Ruff at Contact in Manchester on May 27.

It’s a tribute to those who have kept her company for 68 years, a lament for the absence of those who disappeared into the dark holes left behind by her stroke in 2011.

It’s delivered as part of the University of Manchester's 2014 Sexuality Summer School's public event series on Queer Anatomies.

Science Stroke Art 2014 is hosting wrap-around activities as part of the event: the audience is invited to a drinks reception prior to the show (7-8PM) and Ruff will be followed by a post-show Q&A called Ask the Doctor with local stroke clinician Dr Khalil Kawafi.
