Leicester’s Curve is looking for committed performers of all ages to take part in its “most ambitious” community musical.
The theatre is calling on adults and young people aged 12 and above to take part in a production of Joseph Stein’s musical Fiddler on the Roof.
It will be staged in Curve’s 900-seat theatre and will be directed by Sarah Ingram with original choreography by Curve’s head of learning Melanie Knott.
Speaking about the production, Curve’s chief executive Chris Stafford and artistic director Nikolai Foster said, “we’re thrilled to welcome people of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds to take part in what will be a stunning production.
“It’s Curve’s tenth birthday year and we’ll welcome all those interested in taking part regardless of previous experience. As long as you can attend the rehearsals and are fully committed to the challenges, exhilarating long hours and incredible experience that putting on a show entails, you’re welcome to be part of the show.”
Fiddler on the Roof will be staged from 10 until 19 August. All applications must be submitted to Curve by midnight on Saturday 3 March. Further information is available at the Curve web site.
