Buxton Festival Fringe has confirmed that it will go ahead in 2021 from 7 until 25 July in parallel with Buxton International Festival which will run from 8 until 25 July.

In the 2020 audience and entrants’ survey, the Fringe was told it had been more accessible than previous years, especially for people who lived some distance away from the Derbyshire town.

Fringe marketing officer Stephanie Billen said, “one hundred per cent of respondents agreed with us that encouraging online events was a good idea for 2020. Interestingly, 77% of audience survey respondents were interested in the idea of online Fringe performances in future years.

“We had the biggest number of survey replies from entrants for some years and were very touched by the supportive remarks and praise both for our decision to go ahead with the Fringe and for the friendly way in which we advised and liaised with our performers.”

Entries for the 2021 Fringe will open on 1 December.
