Theatre by the Lake in Keswick stages Christmas show Peter Pan from November 29 and will include four actors flying across the stage, with the help of a hefty sprinkling of fairy dust from Tinker Bell.
A ten-strong cast of professional actors will be joined by 36 local young performers (12 for each performance) aged between 11 and 14, who play the Lost Boys, Indians, mermaids and other Neverland characters.
This Peter Pan is not a pantomime, but author J M Barrie’s own stage version of his famous story. It was inspired by his special relationship with five boys from one family, whom he adopted when their parents died.
