'Pieces of 8' deal at Oldham Coliseum

Oldham Coliseum Theatre couples its first full season since the pandemic with a season ticket offer giving discounts on eight shows through the autumn and winter.

They are: Love N Stuff, Who Cares, Sunny Side Up, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, My Voice Was Heard But It Was Ignored, Blue/Orange, The Glee Club and The Ballad of Maria Marten.

Love N Stuff will be the theatre’s first home-produced show for the Coliseum stage since early 2020. Running from September 16–October 2, it’s a comedy about love, marriage and the family you choose. Two actors play more than 15 characters in a play by Tanika Gupta. Following its run at the Coliseum, it will embark on a national tour.

On October 6–7, LUNG Theatre returns to Oldham with Who Cares. Adapted from real-life testimonies, it examines the impact of austerity, our failing social care system and what happens when a child becomes the parent.

From October 19–23, The John Godber Company with his latest play, Sunny Side Up.

Around All Hallows eve the Coliseum welcomes a star-studded production of Washington Irving’s Sleepy Hollow. Coronation Street legends Wendi Peters and Bill Ward lead an ensemble cast in a new adaptation.

My Voice Was Heard But It Was Ignored will run at Oldham Library Performance Space on November 15–16. It’s an interrogation of racial identity.

Coliseum artistic director Chris Lawson directs Joe Penhall’s multi award-winning Blue/Orange, from February 17–March 5, 2022.
