Producer, actor and scriptwriter Mike Bennett will première Short Tails and Tall Stories, a series of children’s animations narrated by Rik Mayall, at the Kings Arms Theatre in Salford on Sunday November 8, as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival.
Bennett wrote the six-part series, based on original fairy tales, for Mayall, which he recorded as audio-books before making them into colourful, surreal animations for children.
Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin and Three Little Pigs, voiced by Mayall, will be screened in the first half of Short Tails and Tall Stories at the King’s Arms in Salford. The second half will feature local actors providing live voiceovers for other animated stories.
