Touring the UK: Tales from Acorn Wood Live

Auditions are to be held in Birmingham for a new production, Tales from Acorn Wood Live, based on Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler’s book, which is to be brought to the stage for the first time in autumn 2022.

Producers NLP and Birmingham Hippodrome are looking for professional actors with extensive puppeteering experience who have a strong singing voice. They will have to cover a range of animals which are integral to the production. The producers want to hear from individuals based in Birmingham or the West Midlands and those from under-represented communities.

Applications should be submitted no later than Thursday 14 July via Spotlight or by e-mailing [email protected].

Tales from Acorn Wood Live will tour the UK from Monday 24 October. It will then play in the Patrick Studio at Birmingham Hippodrome from Tuesday 13 until Saturday 31 December. It will open another tour at The Lowry, Salford in spring 2023.
