Tweedy the clown: one of the cast of Dick Whittington and His Cat

More than 43,000 people saw the panto Dick Whittington and His Cat at Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre—a record figure.

Chief executive Mark Goucher said, “this goes to show that theatre is alive and well in Gloucestershire. We’re delighted that our pantomime was such a success and we’ve already put 2018’s show Aladdin on sale.

“The new brochure will be landing on doorsteps this week and we urge people to book soon for shows. The Play That Went Wrong was on last week and sold every seat.”
