Birmingham REP associate director Steve Ball is to walk the 116 miles from the theatre to London's Leicester Square over seven days to raise funds for the REP's work with young people.
The REP's creative learning programme is one of the largest in the UK, each year engaging more than 70,000 children, young people and adults.
Ball said, “by taking on this challenge, I hope to raise funds which will go towards supporting the continuation of this vital work and also raising awareness of the plight and importance of our region's theatres in this time when performances, the main source of income, are not permitted to go ahead.”
Ball will start outside the REP on Saturday 22 August, arriving the following Friday. He will be joined for the final leg by Birmingham REP artistic director, Sean Foley.
