Rising Damp at Blackpool Grand

A brand new stage adaptation of ITV’s classic sitcom Rising Damp comes to the Grand Theatre Blackpool as part of a tour, directed by original cast member Don Warrington.

Classic Comedy Production’s stage adaptation will be showing from May 14-18.

ITV’s top comedy originally ran between 1974 and 1978. Set in a run-down Victorian house, it follows landlord Rupert Rigsby and his variety of tenants who rent out his shabby bedsits.

His unlucky tenants include Ruth Jones, an administrator at the University, Alan, a medical student, and Philip, who is studying town and country planning.

Don Warrington is best known for having played the part of Philip alongside Leonard Rossiter and Richard Beckinsale.
