The Wind In The Willows begins at Northampton Royal in November

Northampton’s Royal and Derngate is looking for children to join its professional cast in its Christmas show The Wind In The Willows.

Auditions will take place at the theatre on Saturday 28 September, with callbacks on Sunday 29 September.

Director Gary Sefton is looking for girls and boys aged between 8 and 14 to play a variety of riverbank animals in this adaptation of Kenneth Grahame’s story.

The young actors need to have good movement, singing and acting ability as well as being enthusiastic and having bags of personality.

Rehearsals start on 21 October and children must be available for rehearsals and performances until the show finishes on 5 January.

There are 100 places available at the auditions. Parents must pre-register their child’s audition by Monday 23 September.

To register download a form on the what’s on page for The Wind In The Willows from the theatre’s web site www.royalandderngate.co.uk or pick up a form at the box office.
