Robert Powell as Hercule Poirot in Black Coffee

The Grand in Blackpool will play host to classic spy-thriller of intrigue and suspense, Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee from May 19-24 starring Robert Powell.

Powell plays renowned Belgian detective Hercule Poirot who arrives moments too late at a quintessential English country estate, following the murder of eccentric inventor Sir Claud Amory and the theft of his new earth-shattering formula.

As Christie’s first play, this staging of Black Coffee is a rare treat for fans. Poirot has been immortalised by a number of famous actors, including Albert Finney, Peter Ustinov and David Suchet.
