Hundreds of runners will create a human work of art, illuminating The Quays in Salford over three nights in March, in a series of performances to bring the former-industrial docklands to life in a celebration of movement, light and sound.

NVA’s Speed of Light is a remarkable night time event taking place for the first time in England, March 21-23.

Over 400 runners will take part, activating specially designed, individual light suits to bring the landscape to life. Each night, runners will animate the canal banks, bridges and public spaces around The Lowry set to a specially commissioned audio accompaniment.
