London-based contemporary performance company Unfinished Business brings together chaotic cooking and contemporary theatre in Only Wolves and Lions.
Staged in a secret Manchester location, the performances, from July 9-11, abandon the traditional performer-spectator dynamic, inviting 20 individuals to bring raw ingredients to an unlikely banqueting table to cook, eat and speak together.
Combining collective action, anecdotal storytelling, philosophical musings and live DJing, Only Wolves and Lions creates a collaborative experience. A group of strangers become a temporary community, as the playful and provocative hosts spark up discussions surrounding community, isolation and the meaning of the word ‘crisis’.
