Leicester’s Curve is to continue releasing productions online while the theatre remains closed.

Curve and Theatre Royal Bath’s co-production of Leicester playwright Joe Orton’s What the Butler Saw will be available from Sunday 19 April from 7PM.

More titles in coming weeks will include highlights from Hanif Kureishi’s My Beautiful Laundrette, a co-production with Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre, Everyman Theatre Cheltenham and Leeds Playhouse.

The theatre is also starting Curve in Conversation in which artistic director Nikolai Foster hosts in-depth interviews with leading creatives and performers. These will be released every Wednesday and Friday and will be available as videos and podcasts.

The first two are already live, with Foster interviewing writer Hanif Kureishi and actress Jodie Prenger. Future interviewees include Anita Dobson, Stephen Mear, Lesley Joseph, Akram Khan, Sarah Travis, Ben Cracknell, Michael Harrison, Kay Magson, Grant Olding, Arlene Phillips, Dakota Blue Richards, Catherine Russell, Colin Richmond and Cathy Tyson.

Curve is calling on people to get creative and send videos of drama and dances they are making at home for the theatre to share with audiences online.
