Thanks to Arts Council funding, renowned South Asian dance artist, Seeta Patel, who featured as a mentor for this year’s BBC Young Dancer of the Year competition, has been able to add extra dates to her autumn tour.

Her current show, Something then, Something now, showcasing the classical dance form Bharatanatyam, will now be seen at the Darbar Festival, Purcell Room Southbank, London (Sunday 20 September, 2015); the Arena Theatre. Wolverhampton (Tuesday 22 September); Deda, Derby (Thursday 1 October); Pavilion Dance South West, Bournemouth (Thursday 8 October); Swindon Dance (Friday 16 October); and Arnolfini, Bristol (Saturday 17 October).

She is particularly pleased to be able to continue working with live music. Improvised interplay between a singer and dancer is a key feature of Bharatanatyam. "I feel very privileged to be working with such a great team who are supporting me to champion classical work with live music."
