Seven actors will play the residents of Badger’s Drift in the world première of Midsomer Murders: The Killings at Badger’s Drift, based on the book by Caroline Graham and the television series of the same name.
As previously announced, Daniel Casey, who played Sgt Gavin Troy on the small screen, will take the role of Inspector Tom Barnaby. He will be joined by Nathalie Barclay, Chandrika Chevli, John Dougall, Julie Legrand, Rupert Sadler, Chris Agha and Rhîan Crowley-McLean, who will portray Badger’s Drift’s eccentric characters. The actor playing Sergeant Troy will be announced later. The play will be adapted for the stage and directed by Guy Unsworth.
The tour will open at Richmond Theatre on Friday 24 October and will tour until May 2026. New dates have been added in Cheltenham, Cardiff, Bromley, Darlington and Manchester, with the final performances being at Manchester Opera House from Tuesday 26 until Saturday 30 May.
