Shelagh Delaney Weekend

Salford Arts Theatre pays tribute to Shelagh Delaney with an evening of new writing as part of a Delaney Weekend on November 23.

Delaney’s first play A Taste of Honey was directed by Joan Littlewood and premièred at Theatre Royal, Stratford East. It later transferred to the West End and then to film.

The evening is about encouraging new ways of writing as well as giving opportunity to express and develop ideas that can potentially be full-length plays.

There are fve writers, four directors, nine professional actors, nine young performers and six short plays.
