Manchester Opera House is to delay the opening of Sleeping Beauty until Christmas Eve and run it until January 10 in the hope that tier restrictions are relaxed in the city.
Theatre director Sheena Wrigley said, “given the downward trend of the virus and the community’s campaign for the reduction of the tier level at the next review, we continue to be hopeful that we can stage the show this Christmas, opening a little later than planned. We thank all customers for their patience as we work to get affected bookings rescheduled.”
Ambassador Theatre Group will now be offering NHS workers free tickets to the performance on January 8 at 7PM. All original ballot entries remain valid and winners will be contacted.
