Dreamshed Theatre comes to Oldham Coliseum Theatre Studio on June 17 to 18 with new play, Shalalalalee—a tale of football club fanaticism, young love, heady dreams and thwarted ambition.

It’s the late 1960s and life for young Mancunians generally, and City fans in particular, is good. Janice and Tony, believing that the world is at their feet, prepare for exciting times.

Shalalalalee uses archive footage and a soundtrack of ‘60s hits to capture the spirit of Manchester in the 1960s.The play was written by actor / writer / director Bill Cronshaw, a dedicated City fan whose other football-based plays include I’ll Be Bert, the story of ex-German paratrooper Bert Trautmann who played for City as goalkeeper.

Dreamshed Theatre is a Gloucestershire-based theatre company committed to new writing and opportunities for professional and amateur actors.
