Dream job: Sophie Turner is to continue her links with Playbox Theatre

Former member Sophie Turner has become patron of Warwick-based Playbox Theatre.

Sophie Turner plays Sansa Stark in the HBO TV series Game of Thrones and joined Playbox when she was only three years old. She left when her filming commitments became more demanding.

She will shortly be seen in the film Alone opposite Ray Liotta and Mark Kassen. She also appears in Barely Lethal with Jessica Alba, Samuel L Jackson and Hailee Steinfield.

Playbox director Stewart McGill said, “All of us are naturally delighted that Sophie is willing to continue her links with Playbox in this new role of patron.

“We all have very fond memories of her as a vibrant and energetic young actor which clearly reflects in her career.

“We look forward to seeing her at The Dream Factory (Playbox’s headquarters) once again and of course following her career with pride and anticipation.”

Playbox Theatre hopes to announce a question-and-answer session with Sophie Turner at The Dream Factory.
