Watford Palace will open 2012 with a world première from playwright Charlotte Keatley, Our Father, about a young woman who returns to her parents' home in the Peak District on the eve of her thirtieth birthday. The production will be directed by Brigid Larmour and will run from 17 February to 3 March.
Following this is another new play, Our Brother David, directed by the writer Anthony Clark, former artistic director of Hampstead Theatre, which runs from 13 to 28 April.
Brecht's The Good Soul of Szechuan as adapted by David Harrower will be performed on 2 and 3 February before touring to local venues.
Visiting productions include BalletBoyz with the TALENT, LOL from Luca Silvestrini's Protein, Alan Ayckbourn's Neighbourhood Watch from the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Paul Sirret's Reasons to be Cheerful from GREAE, new play Wasted by Kate Tempest from Paines Plough, Dick King Smith's children's novel The Crowstarver adapted by Daniel Jamieson for Theatre Alibi and DNA by Dennis Kelly from Hull Truck.
