Stafford Gatehouse Theatre has revealed the cast for its sixth consecutive rock ‘n’ roll panto, Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood.
Sandy Grigelis will play Robin Hood. He trained at the London School of Musical Theatre and played TJ in the 2017 UK tour of Sister Act.
Anthony Hunt, who plays the Sheriff of Nottingham, can play the cornet, didgeridoo, drums, harmonica and trumpet. He was the MC in the 2017 Oldham Coliseum Theatre production of Joan Littlewood’s Oh What a Lovely War.
Samuel Townsend who takes the roles of Numbskull and Friar Tuck played Wishee Washee in the Gatehouse’s 2016 panto Aladdin.
The rest of the cast comprises Steve Simmonds (Nanny Nelly Nightnurse), Dominic Gee-Burch (Portcullis / Little John / Cecil), Mike Slader (Much the Miller’s Son / Monsieur Le Coq), Robert Wade (Will Scarlett / Blondel), Rachel Nottingham (Britney), Celia Cruwys-Finnigan (Whitney) and Laura Sillet (Maid Marian).
The creative team behind the Gatehouse’s 2016 panto Aladdin returns: director Rob Salmon, musical director Craig Adams and choreographer Verity Bray.
Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood runs at Stafford Gatehouse from Thursday 7 December until Sunday 7 January 2018.
