Everyone in the Zoom say hi to #txtshow

Audiences can stay more than five million metres apart for a show coming to Manchester Fringe.

As part of a 12-city, four-country, 64-show international virtual tour, performance artist Brian Feldman brings the online version of one of his signature projects to Greater Manchester Fringe and Watford Fringe.

#txtshow (on the Web) is an immersive, multiscreen performance featuring a mysterious character who recites a script written anonymously in real-time by a live audience.

Created and performed by Brian Feldman on Zoom, it originates from his basement studio apartment in Washington DC.

Audience members keep their cameras and microphones on for the entire show and content is based on what audience members write, in anonymity. Recommended for 18+. This event may contain mature themes, profane language and explicit sexual content. There's limited capacity and, although free, donations are accepted.

On the day of the show, audiences receive a link to the Zoom meeting and a PDF programme with instructions to read before the performance starts.

#txtshow had its world première at the Kerouac House in Orlando, Florida in 2009.
