John Partridge, Gok Wan, Stephanie Beacham and Gary Wilmot will star in “the UK’s biggest pantomime”, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, at Birmingham Hippodrome this Christmas.
Heading the cast as the Prince is John Partridge, currently appearing in A Chorus Line at the London Palladium and best known for playing Christian in BBC1’s EastEnders.
Leicester-born fashion guru Gok Wan will make his panto debut as The Man in the Mirror.
Stephanie Beacham will play the Wicked Queen and Gary Wilmot, a firm favourite with Birmingham Hippodrome audiences, will make his first appearance as panto dame.
Ventriloquist Paul Zerdin, who was in Robin Hood at the Hippodrome in 2008, returns to play Muddles. Comedian Matt Slack will be Odd Job.
Michael Harrison, managing director of Qdos Entertainment’s pantomime division and director of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, said, “The country’s biggest panto deserves a stellar cast and we’re thrilled to present a line-up of huge talent for this year’s Christmas show.”
Hippodrome chief executive Stuart Griffiths added, “We are absolutely thrilled that Qdos Entertainment have put together one of the most spectacular casts we have had at Birmingham Hippodrome.
“This will be a production that will appeal to families of all ages and seals our reputation as the home of the UK’s biggest panto.”
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs runs from Thursday 19 December until Sunday 2 February.
