Creative Minds Festival

Organisers are putting together the final touches for this year’s Bertarelli Foundation Creative Minds Festival which will be held at Stoke’s Regent Theatre.

More than 40 schools and community groups as well as 20 practitioners will take part in the festival from Tuesday until Saturday, 2 to 6 July.

On the final night ten of the best acts during the week will be asked to perform again for the Bertarelli Foundation awards. The evening will be presented by BBC Radio Stoke’s Paula White.

Visitors to the festival will also be able to vote on Twitter for their favourite performance during the week. The act with the most votes will earn the 2013 People’s Choice award.

Spokesman Ian Moore said, “Everything is coming together really nicely.

“The festival celebrates Stoke-on-Trent’s and Staffordshire’s unique qualities and this year’s event is gearing up to be hugely exciting.

“The professional practitioners have been developing some amazing work with school and community groups and the buzz for the event is slowly gathering pace.”
