Birmingham Ormiston Academy and RepBirmingham REP has announced a new partnership with Birmingham Ormiston Academy (BOA).

Students studying at the new £25 million state-of-the-art academy will get the opportunity to work alongside professionals based at the REP to learn about the different jobs and careers available within the industry and gain an insight into the profession.

As part of the partnership, BOA students will also get the chance to produce and perform a number of showcases at the Old Rep Theatre.

Gaynor Cheshire, BOA principal, says, "BOA is dedicated to providing students with not only the best possible education but also opportunities to work alongside the best industry professionals.

"Birmingham REP has an excellent reputation for staging high-quality productions and I've no doubt that our students are going to benefit enormously from this exciting partnership."

Steve Ball, associate director at the REP, says, "We've got a wealth of incredibly skilled professionals who're excited to help nurture the next generation of talent, be that on stage or behind the scenes."
