Northamptonshire venue The Core at Corby Cube is offering its most extensive programme of summer courses for young people aged 8 to 21.

The theatre summer school, aimed at those aged 13 to 21, is a two-week course in which youngsters can develop their performance skills as they work with The Core’s creative director Chris Sudworth on staging a new drama, The Case of Whilton College.

The script has been written by Ryan Leder, a member of The Core’s Corby Young Actors.

The course runs from Monday 5 until Thursday 15 August and the play will be performed on the final day.

Play in a Week invites children aged 8 to 12 to tumble into the curious, topsy-turvy world of Alice In Wonderland.

Youngsters will recreate the tale with The Core’s Lisa Byrne and perform it to their friends and family. The week runs from Tuesday until Friday, 20 until 23 August.

The two-week summer school costs £100 while Play in a Week costs £60. To book a place call the ticket line on 01536 470470.
