Grease summer school at The Hawth

If you are bored with the same old summer holidays, now is the chance to join The Hawth's new summer school, a great way for local young people to perform live on stage.

They have chosen the musical Grease as the perfect opportunity for young people to get involved in full-scale production of the show, rehearsed and performed in just two weeks under the watchful eye of a professional theatre production team.

A professional creative of directors, choreographers and vocal coaches will be creating the production, and the Hawth is looking for 200 enthusiastic, talented singers, dancers, actors and technicians to be a part of its production with open auditions being held in April.

It is inviting anyone aged 9 to 21 to attend, and application forms and more information are available from the Hawth box office on 01293 553636 or at www.hawth.co.uk.

Auditions are on Sunday 21 April at The Hawth, Crawley. 16- 21-year-olds are from 9:30AM to 12:30PM, 9- 15-year-olds from 12:30PM to 3:30PM and recalls are from 1PM to 8PM.

Successful auditionees must be available for the summer school, which runs from 12 to 24 August and costs £195 per person. A sibling discount is available. The performance of Grease will be at The Hawth from 22 to 24 August. A free taster session is available during the Easter holidays.
