Comedian Arthur Smith’s show SYD comes to Waterside arts centre in Sale, Manchester, following a season at Soho Theatre and a run at Edinburgh Fringe.
Arthur, accompanied by Kirsty Newton, tells the story of his father Syd Smith who fought at El Alamein and ended the war in the notorious Colditz Castle in Germany.
It’s a 20th century story with laughter and song, quoting directly from his father’s hand-written journal.
It’s performed October 15.
