Emma Laidlaw stars as Sylvia Pankhurst when Rob Johnston’s play Sylvia vs the Fascists sees the return of Breathe Out theatre company to the Continental in Preston this Thursday.
It’s been touring since September 2021 (delayed from May 2020) and is now on the final summer leg, taking in Preston, Buxton, Staffordshire, Edinburgh, London, and Cheshire.
The battles Pankhurst had against fascism (in all its forms) still strike chords with audiences today.
