Stockport Plaza is to replace all 1250 seats in the auditorium with exact replicas this August after sourcing and raising funding for the £413,000 project.

Gary Trinder, Vice Chairman and Technical Director, who is overseeing the restoration project, has visited Kirwin & Simpson, seating specialists in Grays in Essex, which has specialised in custom-made seating for four generations, to develop a schedule and plans for exact replicas of the seating that has been in situ since the Plaza’s opening in 1932.
